Assigned to Ways and Means Subcommittee

HB 1239 would allow a company that creates or expands a tourist attraction to be granted an incremental state and local sales and use tax refund. Incremental sales and use tax means the taxes generated by the tourism attraction above the amount of taxes that were generated by the previous use of the property.

The project would need to be approved by DCA and the local governing authority.
